This competition takes on an elemental perspective to architectural design and sustainability. The keyword of this year is "ORIENTATION". Participants are to revisit the ideas of orientation and produce creative proposals under consideration of ecological issues.
Evaluation and definition of "orientation" are open to participants' imaginations. While the term "ecological" is subjected to many definitions: social, economical, sustainable, participants are free to interpret in their own ways. The site chosen has to be real and its coordinate values have to be marked under the theme on submission boards. Attributes and context of the site and functional aspects have to be taken into account. Spatial proposals with reference objects and responsive design strategies are expected.
