THE FX INTERNATIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS celebrate its 10th anniversary of rewarding excellence in theglobal interior design sector. The Awards invite both British
and international design talent from all over the world to enter the very best of interior products and projects.Organised by the leading UK contract interiors magazine FX, these coveted awards - and the glamorous and prestigiousceremony that celebrates them - are the highlight of ourindustry calendar. Winners and finalists receive extensive publicity and also feature on our dedicated awards website toform part of your international PR campaign. Past experiencehas shown that winning an FX Award has brought international recognition and commercial benefit and prestige.
WHO SHOULD ENTER?
The FX Awards actively invite both British
and international designers, as well as
clients, manufacturers, importers and end
users of interior design projects (complete
schemes) or products.
Eligibility: Any work completed between 20
June 2006 and 1 June 2008. Resubmissions
(provided they conform to the time limit) and
major redesigns or redevelopments of
existing products are acceptable.
Closing date for entries:
Friday 20 June 2008.
THE CATEGORIES
With design categories for retail, leisure, workspace and public spaces, there are opportunities for you to enter your work whichever sector you're in.
PROJECTS:
WORKSPACE
ENVIRONMENT
An area maximising comfort and
efficiency in the workspace such
as reception areas, break-out
zones, or departments judged on
the total concept and aptness.
MUSEUM OR
EXHIBITION SPACE
The ultimate display, education,
and creative use of the space for
museums, galleries, temporary
and permanent exhibitions.
BAR OR RESTAURANT
The interior design of restaurant
or bar spaces.
RETAIL SPACE
Design schemes in all forms of
retail outlet, including shopping
centres, retail concepts and stores.
LEISURE OR
ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
Leisure and entertainment
projects, including spas, health
clubs, gyms, salons and cinemas.
LIGHTING DESIGN
Completed schemes that make
the best use of lighting in office,
retail, leisure, exhibition, public
space or commercial settings.
PUBLIC SPACE
Civic, transport, education or
medical projects including
schools, health centres, hospitals
and public art installations for
private or public use.
HOTEL
Complete hotel schemes: newbuild,
conversion, restoration
or refurbishment projects.
PRODUCTS:
WORKSPACE SYSTEMS
FURNITURE
This category is restricted to
the multi-configuration systems
comprising tables, storage
and filing facilities for use in
office workspaces.
WORKPLACE SEATING
Seating designed for use in
office and work environments.
PUBLIC, LEISURE OR
WORKSPACE FURNITURE
Furniture designed for public
areas including occasional
furniture, as well as break out
areas in offices, and which
include retail, leisure, transport,
education, health, leisure and
civic spaces. This category also
recognises products that feature
in leisure environments including
the hotel, bar and restaurant
sector as well as spas, fitness
and entertainment venues.
LIGHTING PRODUCT
Interior luminaires, lamps and
exterior lighting products for
use in workplace, retail,
leisure, exhibition, public or
commercial settings.
SPECIAL AWARDS:
These four prestigious individual
awards are nominated by you
online and then compiled into
a shortlist which is posted on
the website in July. We invite
you wherever you are in the
world to cast your vote online
for the most deserving winner.
